I used to see them a lot back in Germany but hardly any since I moved to the UK. Not sure if I am just lucky but this year I have seen quite a few already: Common redstart ,Phoenicurus phoenicurus.
A few days ago I sat down at a lovely spot on Dartmoor , actually waiting to see the cuckoos, and 2 pairs were flying around very close , catching flies, the male singing his beautiful song. A couple of times they came really close to me.

Als ich noch in Deutschland gewohnt habe, hab ich sie recht oft gesehen, aber seit ich nach Großbritannien gezogen bin fast garnicht. Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob ich Glück habe, aber dieses Jahr habe ich schon relativ viele gesehen: Gartenrotschwanz, Phoenicurus phoenicurus.
Vor ein paar Tagen setzte ich mich an einen schönen Ort in Dartmoor hin und wartete eigentlich auf die Kuckucke, als zwei Paare sehr nahe um mich herumflogen, Fliegen fingen und das Männchen sein wunderschönes Lied sang. Ein paar mal kamen sie mir sehr nahe.
